Because the Saarland shield as en emblem is not allowed to use by citizens, the government decided to redraw a »public version«. 

It has reduced forms, a typo »Saarland« on top. You get it from the government as a file or a serigraphic sticker. You see it on cars, in newspapers over the local pages and a few years back somebody tried to steel elements and created his own logo. I insisted, but the chances were low.

So shame on those with no own ideas!
